  • Has published or co-edited 10 books and is the author or co-author of more than 75 scientific articles and book chapters that focus on public international law, international security law, international and European protection of human rights, cyber security law, privacy, data protection and governance and artificial intelligence
  • Member of the editorial board of the Leiden Journal of International Law (Cambridge University Press), member of the Scientific Council of the Australian Yearbook of International Law and the Revue Belge de droit international.
  • He was founder and elected chairman of the European Society for International Law's Interest Group on Peace and Security (2008-2018); member of the Executive Council and the Board of the French Society for International Law (SFDI) for 12 years; and member of the International Law Association's International Committee on Use of Force.
  • Regularly interviewed by media in France and elsewhere. As an international expert he has advised Governments, International Organisations and the private sector on issues concerning International and European law, Human Rights, Cyber security law and Data protection and he also has experience working as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) helping companies to implement the GDPR.
