On May 26/27th will take place in Kuala Lumpur the international conference on « Security in the EU and ASEAN: comparisons and interactions ». This conference is co-organised by the CESICE (University of Grenoble II), the Malaysian campus of the University of Nottingham, ISIS-Malaysia and the Delegation of the EU in Malaysia. An extensive definition of security will be adopted including the traditional security issues such as external and internal security but also the nontraditional security issues. Practitioners and academics will also discuss mutual influences and try to sketch comparisons.
